HMS Lark was a Laforey class destroyer of the Royal Navy and was part of the 3rd Harwich Flotilla (the Harwich Force) which carried out search and sweep missions for enemy ships in the North Sea. HMS Lark won battle honours at the Battles of Heligoland in 1914 and Dogger Bank in 1915. Sub Lieutenant Stephen Halliday accidentally drowned on 3rd February, 1916 but as yet there is no further information concerning his death. |
